Detailed Itinerary

Day 01          : Arrive Delhi  

Meeting and assistance on arrival and check into hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02          : In Delhi  

Morning  half day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Red Fort,built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan , Jama  Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana-the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk,  shopping centre of Old Delhi. (Red Fort closed every Monday)

Afternoon  half day sightseeing tour of New Delhi visiting Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's  Tomb, India Gate (war memorial          arch), Lakshminarayan Temple-a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat   Buildings and Connaught Place-shopping centre of New  Delhi.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03          : In Delhi

Visit Gurudwaras in Delhi  - Bangla Sahib, Shishganj, Rakab Ganj  etc.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04          : Delhi / Chandigarh                  240kms / 5 hrs

Morning leave by surface for Chandigarh enroute visiting Fatehgarh Sahib, Sirhind : An important destination for Sikh pilgrims. This gurudwara has been built on the site where 300 years ago, Guru Gobind Singhji's two young Sahibzadas were entombed alive by the Mughals because they had refused to  embrace Islam underduress of the Nawab of Sirhind.


On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05          : Chandigah / Patiala

Morning half day city sightseeing tour of CHANDIGARH designed by Le Corbusier - the famous French Architect. Half day tour include visit to the Secretariat, High Court, State liberary, assembly Chambers, Rose gardens, University, Botanical Garden and the  beautiful Lake.

Afternoon leave by surface for Patiala.  On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06          : Patiala / Anandpur Sahib  

Morning visit Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Patiala City : Marks the site Sahib where the 9th Prophet,Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji had rested while proceeding to Delhi to embrace martyrdom to uphold man's right to worship according to his belief.

Later leave by surface for Anandpur Sahib. On arrival check into hotel.           

Afternon visit Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib : A birthplace of the Khalsa, it was here on March 30th, 1699 Guru Gobind Singh baptized 5 sikhs with amrit (sweetened water) stirred with his Khanda and called them his Five Beloved Ones and gave them the last name ‘Singh’ which means Lion. Guru Gobind Singh then humbly bowed before the Five Beloved Ones and asked them to initiate Him into the Khalsa Brotherhood.

Day 07          : In Anandpur Sahib

Same day trip to GURU KA LAHORE : Celebrating the pious marriage ceremony of Guru Gobind Sing Ji, Guru Ka Lahore which is surrounded by three other Gurudwaras, is set at a distance of 12 km from the famous Anandpur Sahib. Turning the look of this place into one of the cities of Lahore, Guru Ji married Jeet Kaur in 1734.

KIRTHPUR SAHIB : Gurudwara Kiratpur Sahib was established in 1627 by the sixth Sikh Guru Sri Har Gobind Sahib in a small peaceful town at the foothills of the Shivalik range in Punjab. He lived his last few years of his worldly life here in Kiratpur. Situated on the bank of river Sutlej in present day Ropar district, the auspicious place had regular association with the other Sikh Gurus that followed. Here the seventh Sikh Guru, Guru Har Rai and eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan Dev Ji were born and brought up. Even the first Sikh prophet, Guru Nanak ji is known to have visited this place in his lifetime.

Day 08          : Anandpur Sahib  – Hoshiarpur

Morning breakfast, later leave by surface for Hoshiarpur. On arrival check into hotel.

Day 09          : Hosiarpur – Amritsar

Morning leave by surface for Amritsar enroute visiting  DERA BABA NANAK – DARSHANS OF SRI DARBAR SAHIB, SRI CHOLA SAHIB  - Guru Nanak spend last 10 years of his life Here.  Clothes he wore at Mecca are preserved  here.

On arrival check into hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10          : In Amritsar  

Morning  half day city sightseeing tour of AMRITSAR visiting the Golden temple - the sacred sikh sanctuary marbled bronzed and covered with gold leaf wherein the Guru Granth Sahib - the bible of the sikhs is placed reverently.  Also see the community kitchen where 10000 pilgrims are fed daily on voluntary and           complimentary basis. 

Afternoon  visit wagah border.

Wagah border – the only road crossing between India and Pakistan. The guards on each side assemble to  parade and preen themselves in an immaculately turned out display of synchronised marching and bellowed military commands. The flag of each  country is then carefully raised or  lowered and the gates are opened or slammed shut.

Visit Golden Temple to witness evening ceremony.

Day 11           : In Amritsar  

Same day trip to TARN TARAN SAHIB.

Tarn Taran : 24 Kms south of Amritsar. Founded by the 5th  Prophet Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji the impressive Gurudwara with gold plated dome has a holy pool. The guru used to run a leper's home here.

Also visit other GURUDWARAS. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12           : Amritsar / Delhi    

On time transfer to railway station to connect train for Delhi.

Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13           : Delhi /  Nanded

Morning breakfast later on time leave for airport to connect flight for Nanded. On arrival meet and assistance and transfer to hotel. 

Afternoon Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib is the principal  shrine at about half a Kilometer from the left bank of the river Godavari,    Nanded, Maharashtra. It marks the site where the Guru had his camp in 1708 A.D. after the departure of the emperor Bahadur Shah. The tenth Guru held

his court and congregation here. It is the site of his own tent where he was convalescing after he was attacked by assassins. It is the place from where the tenth Guru rose to heaven along with his horse Dilbag.

Day 14           : In Nanded

Day tour of Gurudwara Nanak Jheera, Bidar and Gurudwaras enroute, evening back at Nanded.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 15           : Nanded / Mumbai 

On time transfer to airport to connect flight for Mumbai, On arrival meet our team and transfer to hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Mumbai visiting Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum (Museum closed on Monday)  , Fish Aquarium, Jain Temple, Hanging Gardens on the slopes of Malabar  hills offering nice view of marine lines & Chowpatty Beach,  Kamla Nehru Park, Mani Bhawan (where Mahatma

Gandhi  used to stay) then to Dhobi Ghat . Also drive past Afgan Church,  Flora Fountain (Bombay nerve centre), colourful  crawford market and marine drive.

Evening free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 16           : Leave Mumbai 

Morning breakfast, later on time transfer to airport to connect flight for onward journey.
